Singer Sid Sriram
On May 19, 1990, Sidharth Sriram was born. He is an Indian-American Carnatic musician, playback vocalist, songwriter, and music producer.
He has worked in the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam music industries as an R&B songwriter. He frequently works with music producers and his sister Pallavi Sriram, a Bharatanatyam dancer. He goes by the name SidSriram.
Sid Sriram Early Life
Sid Sriram was born to a Tamil family in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He was a Fremont native who came to California with his parents when he was a year old.
His mother, Latha Sriram, a Carnatic music instructor in the San Francisco Bay Area, encouraged his musical abilities. He began studying Carnatic music when he was just 3 years old.
At the same time, he began listening to R&B.
He enrolled in the Berklee College of Music after graduating from Mission San Jose High School in 2008 and earned a degree in music production and engineering there.
Since his graduation, he has been regularly visiting India and performing Carnatic concerts, including as a part of the December Music season - Marghazhi Utsavam.
His Career as a singer
Additionally, he recently contributed to some Telugu and Malayalam songs, including Kola Kale Ila from Varudu Kavalenu and Uyire from Gauthamante Radham.
Moreover, he performed two songs from the Hindi movie Jhund.
He also made his debut as a music composer for the Mani Ratnam production Vaanam Kottatum, which is directed by Dhana Sekharan, a Padaiveeran director and Mani's former assistant. The response to his Srivalli song from Pushpa: The Rise was favourable.
